Christmas Beauty Top Tips

We’re finally on the countdown with only 14 sleeps to go! Christmas can be a very hectic time with not only the panic about present buying and card writing but we also have the added stress of social functions such as Christmas drinks, office parties and family gatherings to contend with.

If you’re feeling a little stressed and worried that the winter weather is making your complexion and hair seem dull and lack lustre why not try some of our top beauty tips below to give you a much needed boost of energy to recharge your batteries.

Christmas Make-Up


When we‘re all running around like mad things it’s easy to forget the simple things which can have a huge effect on how we look and feel. Even if you’re running late, try using some eyebrow gel or liner to make your brows stand out and shape your face. If you have time you could have them threaded or waxed to define them even more. Make sure you use a good foundation which suits your skin tone and don’t forget some lipstick!

Hair Tips

The cold weather plays havoc with our hair leaving it frizzy, dry, dull and lifeless. For a quick fix try leaving your normal conditioner in for longer than normal to give your hair a boost. If you have the time, make an appointment with your stylist and go for a new style. A change will really give you a boost for the party season.

Christmas Nails

Forget the Christmas jumper and get some Christmas nails! A little bit of colour on your nails will bring your hands to life especially if you have the time to create some festive fun! Don’t forget to use hand lotion regularly to stop your skin drying out and becoming chapped and sore.


The party season may mean we drink a little more alcohol than normal. Make sure you stay safe and get a taxi home if you have had a drink. It’s best not to drink and drive even if you have had just one. Counterbalancing the effects by drinking plenty of water will not only help your skin look and feel great it will keep your body hydrated and boost your energy levels.


Late nights and early mornings play havoc with our eyes. Using a good eye cream will help reduce any puffiness and will rejuvenate the delicate skin around your eyes. You could even try some good old fashioned home remedies such as cucumbers and teabags to revitalise your eyes.
