Qualification: Level 2 Award in threading depilation (QCF)

The level 2 Award in threading depilation (QCF) is a specialist qualification. You will gain the knowledge and skills required to remove unwanted hair on the face, and shape the eyebrows using threading techniques.

This course can be added to additional short courses to become a fully qualified beauty therapist, or for therapists wishing to advance their profession.

Course content:

  • Health & Safety in the salon
  • Client Care & Communication
  • Contra-indications / Contra-actions / Homecare / Aftercare
  • Level 2 Anatomy & Physiology (relevant to studies)
  • Consultation / Treatment Planning / hair & skin analysis / Aftercare / Homecare
  • Threading techniques to shape the eyebrows and for the removal of unwanted hair on the face
  • Case Studies / Tasks / Written paper for each unit / Portfolio / Assessments

Further Training/Progression: Waxing, Manicure & Pedicure, Facials, Make-up, Eye Treatments, Spray Tanning, build up a full beauty therapy qualification

Career Paths: Providing threading treatments in department stores/ salons, Beauty salons, Spas, Freelance work, Consultant, become a specialist in your chosen area or expertise, become a fully qualified beauty therapist (build up qualifications to gain a level 2 in beauty therapy) .
