Qualification: Level 2 Award in tanning techniques (QCF)

The level 2 Award in tanning techniques (QCF) is a specialist qualification. You will gain knowledge and skills of the techniques required for application of spray tanning This course can be added to additional short courses to become a beauty therapist or for therapists wishing to advance their profession.

Course content:

• Health & Safety in the salon
• Client Care & Communication
• Contra-indications / Contra-actions / Homecare / Aftercare
• Level 2 Anatomy & Physiology (relevant to studies)
• Consultation / Treatment Planning / Aftercare / Homecare
• Application of spray tanning
• Case Studies / Tasks / Written paper for each unit / Portfolio / Assessments

Further Training/Progression: Waxing, Manicure & Pedicure, Facials, Make-up, Eye Treatments, Threading, build up a full beauty therapy qualification (build up qualifications to gain a level 2 in beauty therapy)

Career Paths: Providing spray tanning treatments in salons / Spas, Freelance work, employment with tanning companies, representative, become a specialist in your chosen area or expertise, become a fully qualified beauty therapist.
