Electrotherapy Courses (Face and Body)

Qualification: Electro-Therapy treatments (QCF) is a specialist qualification.

You will gain the knowledge and skills required to carry out electro-therapy treatments on clients to improve skin type/condition and to aid weight loss when used on the body. This qualification can be added to additional short courses to become a fully qualified beauty therapist, or to advance your skills within your profession.

Course content:

  • Health & Safety in the salon
  • Client care & communication
  • Contra-indications / Contra-actions / skin analysis / Homecare / Aftercare
  • Anatomy & Physiology
  • High frequency / Galvanic / Micro-current / Faradic (EMS) / Vacuum Suction treatments
  • Body – lifestyle / diet & exercise plans / body analysis / weight / fat %
  • Case Studies / Tasks / Written paper for each unit / Portfolio / Assessments

Entry Requirements: Level 2 Beauty specialist techniques Diploma or equivalent

Further Training/Progression: Full level 3 Beauty Therapy Diploma, Indian head massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Thermal auricular therapy, Sports massage

Career Paths: Own salon, Health Spas, Cruise liners, Aircraft therapist, Spa/salon manager, Trainer, lecturer in beauty Therapy, Representative for product companies, Freelance/Mobile therapist, become a specialist in your chosen area or expertise.

Level 3 Certificate in Facial Electrotherapy (QCF) £51

Level 3 Diploma in Body Therapy (QCF)

Additional courses costs: A uniform and kit will be required for this course, please ask for more details.

Dates & Duration:

Facial electro-therapy

1 Day a week for 7 weeks (9.30-4.30) + 1 assessment day
