Swedish Massage is a level 3 specialist qualification. You will gain the skills and knowledge required to enable you to perform professional body massage treatments on clients, using different Swedish massaging techniques to suit your clients individual needs or to further your career in beauty or complimentary therapy.
Body Massage
Qualification: Swedish Massage is a level 3 specialist qualification.
You will gain the skills and knowledge required to enable you to perform professional body massage treatments on clients, using different Swedish massaging techniques to suit your clients individual needs or to further your career in beauty or complimentary therapy.
Course content:
- Health & Safety in the salon
- Client care & communication
- Contra-indications / Contra-actions / Homecare / Aftercare
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Swedish massaging techniques to deliver body massage on all areas of the body
- Case Studies / Tasks / Written paper for each unit / Portfolio / Assessments
Further Training/Progression: Indian head massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Thermal auricular therapy, Sports massage.
Career Paths: Massage Therapist, Own salon, Health Spas, Cruise liners, Aircraft therapist, Spa/salon manager, Freelance/Mobile therapist, complimentary therapist.
Course costs: £500.00 (Incl vat)
Awarding body additional costs:
Lifetime registration £16.00 (only payable once)
Level 3 Certificate in Swedish Massage (QCF) £41.00
Additional courses costs: A uniform and kit will be required for this course, please ask for more details.

4 day course (9.30-4.30) + 1 assessment day
8th / 15th / 22nd / 29th June 2013 (Sat)
9th / 10th / 16th / 17th Sept 2013 (Mon/Tues)
